This struck a chord with me today.
It kind of sucks that my ADHD gives me two options to choose from:

1. Chase meaningful pursuits in real life so hard that I burnout and basically destroy myself

2. Play video games and be unable to unglue myself from my screens

I’m really pleased with my progress on building muscle, I was excited to be able to see some subtle improvements over the 8 days since I last took photos. Much work lays ahead but that’s ok. 🙂💪

Made a spicey Chinese egg soup last night for the first time. Went awesome!! Even managed to cook the eggs perfectly with a runny yoke like I love. The flavours of miso, spicey chili crisps, mushrooms and sriracha all perfectly balanced. Added a scoop of fresh rice once it was ready to eat. Mmmm… 🤤

There’s nothing cooler for me right now than the feeling of my newly built muscles moving. The feeling of my arms moving is totally different than a year ago because of the muscle I’ve gained. My legs too, they’re just… different. I love it. The feeling of getting stronger is so joyous! ☺️💪

I keep telling myself I’ll give my legs a rest & then I keep going for walks and little adventures. Today my wife joined me at the frozen beach. We enjoyed going out onto the ice together. This is why I’m working hard to change my life, to enjoy the time I have fully with those I love.🙂💪

Went for a very chilly walk down at the beach and even walk out onto the lake a little bit although gave that up fast because it was super slick ice. Gorgeous day albeit cold!

It’s all about staying the course over here. Food management is working, I’m losing weight steadily lately. I’m getting stronger as I work out fairly regularly and I’m enjoying the NSV’s along the way.
Today’s fav NSV: it’s easier to play guitar because my chest and belly are smaller.☺️💪

This morning I started my day off by having a little party with my wife before cooking her breakfast. I absolutely love the freedom being healthier and more mobile gives me to live a better life and be a better husband. ☺️💪

Woke up at 3AM, did some yoga, cleaned the kitchen. It’s 8AM & I’m all tired out again and going for a nap.
I’m making big changes in my life & I’m gonna carry those changes into our home too. Now that I have arms with solid muscles it would be a shame to waste them by neglecting to do housework. 🙂💪

Did my usual breakfast smoothie and then did a vigorous total body workout. Set a personal best for number of squats without stopping (37) and used my resistance bands to make shadow boxing into a heck of a cardio workout a it.

I’ve been trying to get up and workout since 6AM but this little goober keeps making herself more and more comfortable. I fear I may have to break the most sacred of cat laws; you cannot move when a sleeping cat is on you

Woke up at 4AM did strength training while watching TV. Drove my wife to work & went to the beach for a walk along the shore with the ambience of the ice. What a beautiful sound and a beautiful if brisk start to my day.🙂💪

Woke up super early, 1:30AM, couldn’t get back to sleep. So I’m up, I’ve eaten, I put in a vigorous workout in. Resistance bands, pushups, yoga, some walking, the works. I’m feeling more ambitious as I slowly recover from being super sick for most of January and I wanna get after it.

Currently 544.6, on Monday I was 548.6.
At this rate I’ll be back where I was when things fell apart a couple months ago and back into getting smaller and smaller again. Sorry for my weird looking feet! haha

Today while still crazy sick I helped my wife by carrying in 60lbs worth of groceries (heck yes I weighed them 😂) & walked down a flight of stairs with them.
I have strength in my body I haven’t seen for literally years. I can’t wait to see what this feels like when I weigh half ehat I do now. 🙂💪
