Working on commissioned and custom patches over the last week… and wanted to share this patch for Caffé Pacori! It will be included in their raffle basket for December’s 1st Saturday Art Hop, and I’m happy to announce I will also be vending at Pacori that day! ☕️🔥

Samhain is a time where the veil is thin and we can reach back to our ancestors. I spent time last night digging through long-abandoned websites for more information about my ancestry, specially Clan Macaoidh (anglicized to MacKay) and Clan Dùbhghlas (anglicized to Douglas).

My latest Radiant Carpet piece, part of a series where I stitch a self-drafted pattern in various color schemes! I don’t often use brown thread, but I wanted a more basic color to ground this version of Radiant Carpet.
A cross stitch piece with an abstract square pattern that radiates out in layers from a central spiral, and is accented on its edges by single lines of stitches like fringes on a carpet. It’s stitched on purple and pink dyed aida with gradient threads of browns, greens, purples, blues and pinks.

My next sticker design is inspired by one of the most haunting sights of my life, watching the beam of Heceta Head Lighthouse cut through thick fog on a dark night. This sticker will GLOW IN THE DARK!

Working on “I Didn’t Even Get to Say Goodbye”, a trauma processing piece about how I spent the last night in my childhood bedroom, without knowing it was about to disappear forever.

This will be my stitching template! Hand punctured with a sewing needle.

“The One That Got Away”, for MECCA Eugene’s Object Afterlife Show. This show challenges artists to work with a mystery material- mine was this fisherman figure!

What an absolutely wild vending weekend for me! Men at Werk on Friday and Salem Capital Pride on Saturday. I’m feeling super grateful for my wife, who helps me with every single event I go to.

I’m so excited to be VENDING at Salem Capital Pride this year. This was on my goal list for 2025 and it’s happening!! I am so stoked to have the opportunity to meet new people and spend a day on the riverfront.
