Chi is an MP, this is being debated in the House of Lords by Lords and Baronesses.
For what it’s worth you can watch it live. The next meeting is tomorrow where the clause should be discussed. It should start being discussed anytime after 3pm
December 3, 2024 at 8:30 PM
At this point, I must clarify that one of the most prominent in the House of Lords speaking about this bill is Lord Parkinson of Whitley Bay, who is an NUFC fan
November 28, 2024 at 11:26 PM
It’s currently on the House of Lords, and needs to pass that before going to the House of Commons, to be debated again.
For reference, just 1 Lord or Baroness objecting to it in the House of Lords will get it rejected.

It’s not though. Someone started a rumour, likely out of fear that the club would move the stadium to next to the racecourse. The article even lays that out.
However, I do believe the article is right, and that it wouldn’t be considered, for many reasons.
November 27, 2024 at 6:55 PM
You are also forgetting how fans in general would find a move outside of the city centre totally unpalatable, and how those who rely on public transport would be left without a route to & from the stadium
November 27, 2024 at 5:41 PM
Anyone who has had to deal with the traffic on Sandy Lane would contest your view. You also have to consider that it would be 80k more people on top of the Racecourse attendance, as they would frequently host races at the same time as football.
November 27, 2024 at 5:40 PM
A little bit of further investigating, and it just needs 1 Lord or baroness to object to the amendment, and it is discarded. Our best bet would be to get Newcastle fan Lord Parkinson of Whitley Bay to object to it on Wednesday.
November 24, 2024 at 5:39 PM
This is a proposed amendment to the new football regulator, proposed by a lord who is a Liverpool fan, and would ban sovereign wealth funds from owning a football club, which would mean and be aimed at PIF
November 24, 2024 at 8:17 AM
If the amendments passed, they would simply spin NUFC off from PIF, and into a private equity firm, similar to how Man City’s parent group is organised.

SJP redevelopment, or a new stadium wouldn’t effect money for players
November 20, 2024 at 8:44 PM
Share creation isn’t allowed for transfers, or non-footballing activities of the club.
Well it is, and isn’t. From a PSR perspective it doesn’t count as income
