And if everyone does eventually adopt them into their lives, what then? The whole world becomes a Facebook level ghost town with AI summarizing and responding to itself back and forth forever. using up shit loads of energy and not actually accomplishing anything. What is the point of any of it?

I have heard of interesting use cases with purpose built models like for monitoring plants. But the advertised use cases are bullshit. Summarizing emails and writing things out for you is stupid. If you can't care enough to read the things people send to you I don't trust you to care about anything.

I haven't really used tiktok for years, it made me feel awful. I got on here because it seems like the best available option. Been trying to get off all Facebook apps for a while. There hasn't been an alternative that the people I follow were on. Hoping we can make a space for actual community.
