It's not even the 2010s specifically either. Even in Crossworlds, they're still using his obnoxious 2010 voice for Roger and it's literally the only reason why I've not been picking Sonic in that game till I got a Jason voice mod LOL. Ik it's petty but idk, just how I feel

I'll deal with those flaws for hiw good those strengths are, over a game that's more polished but doesn't reach those highs are personal preferences

Like with the Adventure games, yes Big levels suck, yes the games have some jank, but they also have the sickest movement, 2D artwork, music, characters, etc

Yeah I can vibe with that. I think for me personally, I just value the strengths of a game more than if it's a "perfect" game. I'm cool with a game doing everything right, but if the strengths don't appeal to me as much, I'll still prefer the flawed game

Yeah that is true, I do think the games I listed (mainly SA1 and SM64) were really revolutionary. SM64 and SA1 were the first games I ever played outside of edutainment games so they blew my mind back then

Majora's Mask recently becaome my fav Zelda and that game is also flawed af too, like some really awful game design choices. I don't get why I'm like this LOL
