71. He/Him. Woke, I think. Rural. I've farmed, worked, able to join a union late in life, loving family all in Iowa still, being liberal makes common sense to me, and now, mostly bewildered that battles thought were won are reopened fronts. Patriot.

Hiring private contractors to do work done by public dollars is always sold with the lie of saving money. My experience.. Iowa DOT has done the same.. contr out as much as possible. Reduce public staff.
Once done..who checks for savings? Rarely anyone. Media? Where are you?
