For those who care the real me is @suitord.bsky.social I keep this account to do sports only
The licencing laws in NI are so bad you had to buy it and stand in a small very enclosed space to drink it, so lost all the wandering around the market while having a warm drink vibe

Belfast market not great for it, so we waited until we visited the continent

I am on a doctor enforced diet - the worst time of the year for it!

The summer tests against T2 nations with a Lions tour make that number much larger than they would be in a "normal" season.

I think mine was 1992 five nations, £3 schoolboy ticket south terrace, against Wales. A wee Welsh man gave us a nip from his hip flask.

I have been in both alliterations and the old one was a terrible stadium but a great atmosphere, it has went the other way now

Looks lovely! I have made feijoada before, not enough Brazilian immigrants to have takeaways maybe?
November 7, 2025 at 9:57 PM
I remember Radio Ulster doing a feature about it a few years ago, along with the Dolphins in Grove Leisure centre in the 80s

Diacetyl can give an "off" mouth feel to the beer. Probably the most frequent cause of this is transferring the beer off the yeast before it has a chance to re-absorb. The amount of yeast in bottle conditioning can't absorb it. (I paraphrased some it)
November 3, 2025 at 1:41 PM
I didn't realise that it was a year, but mine had also been bottled conditioned - over 3 months. After my research I have let beers sit about 2-4 weeks after fermentation before bottling, which seems to have stopped it. Could be co-incidence though. I looked up what I had read⬇️
November 3, 2025 at 1:39 PM
I have had a few beers with that mouthfeel*, when I looked into it I probably bottled too early and should have left it longer. The fermentation was complete but the yeast hadn't finished "cleaning up", it is something to do with a protein but can't remember fully.

Just watched it on catch up, 56 mins, seemed predetermined. I thought he played well.

Easier when you live here, last year the innards were removed using a cordless drill and a large paddle bit.

Too IT heavy for my wee brain! I will stay with the wing it approach! Though I am trying to distil the family favourites into a wee book at the moment
