I hung in there until they included Lara Trump as one of their influential women (I forget the actual name of the group). I've also stopped using Amazon because Bezos.

This is what I'm counting on. Because then the MAGA Rs will likely lose bigly in 2026, rendering Trump impotent as POTUS and increasing the chances for Ds in 2028 (assuming our democracy survives).

That's a large part of why I couldn't watch it. I would have gotten angry all over again, witnessing her competence and grace in the face of the MAGA lunacy. I fervently hope we survive the next four years, and I will do what I can to help make that happen.

I get it. We do try shopping local whenever we can. Unfortunately, like with you, sometimes there is no "local" left.

My wife and I have been actively moving our business away from these places. HomeDepot. Walmart. Amazon. Washington Post. (So far). Might be a small ripple in a big pond, but enough ripples look like a heavy rain.

Because DEI. Most of them don't even really know a) what it stands for or b) why it matters. They only heard "DEI = bad." There's no real underlying understanding.
