id get into how this is doubly fun comparing him to lloyd and how he deals with things in Azure by refusing to do them and how that plays into reans admiration of him and his self admitted jealousy but I will be here all day lmao

the reveal that no one blackmailed or threatened him or did anything he just got an order from the government and went and did that without resisting made me so disappointed in him and I think thats a really fun way to write him
and he understandably really hates himself for it

cause even if he did his best to prevent civilian casualties he still just went and secured crossbell to get annexed by the empire and that might not have happened as easily if he didn't use his giant magic super robot to do it so fast?

like he has a giant super robot and can practically go and do whatever he wants but hes so devastated from the cs2 ending he completely caves - and that lines up way better for a personal sense of guilt than I've seen people say like 'why is he even mad the people there like him' or what not
