I'm actually not an introvert, I really enjoy talking to people and going out and doing things, but because of religious trauma I feel immense guilt doing things for myself and I very easily fall into isolation traps where I convince myself that I should be alone.

I'm not going to watch Avengers Doomsday. I think I'll just read Avengers comics instead if I want to see them fight Doom or Kang or whatever. Maybe I'll catch it on streaming if I have nothing better to do.

Idk comics are lovingly complicated and it's hard to criticize an art form that is held back by "line must go up" values. I just got back on my meds so I felt compelled to have a disjointed rant about something that probably won't change anytime soon.

There are a lot of storylines that I want to read, but I never know if it's just going to be reset making the story and consequences redundant. This isn't a shot or anything at the writers, they do incredible work despite the circumstances.

The original team did come back with the X-Force comic, (that I still haven't finished) but it was exciting to see new characters become main stays and it made each decision and consequence feel that much more important and impactful, it just hurts when it all gets reset back to basics

When I started reading classic X-Men comics all the way up to the mutant massacre arc made me realize how cool it was to see a comic storyline evolve into something new, like they replaced the original X-Men team! We had a new team learning to grow and become heroes and earn the title of X-Men!

Spider-Man is a good example of what I mean, he used to be my all time favorite superhero, but he doesn't even crack my top ten. I think I'm mainly frustrated with upholding the status quo in his comics. Idk It's probably nostalgia that's just getting in the way of my enjoyment.
