Good morning all. Beautiful to wake up in a country that respects women, had universal health care and good relationships with it's Allies. Oh and the sunrises are beautiful as well.

And then there was Saturnalia.. Now here was a party! Masters became slaves, slaves became masters and all for like a week long drunken orgy filled feast. Can't have that going on in your Christian Empire. So, Saturnalia became the birthday for Jesus..

Just a couple of small pesky problems remained. One was whatever to do with the very popular, but pagan Roman holidays. His answer, well convert those from wild Bacchanalias to sedate and somber Christian ones.

So why December 25th. Well, most likely becasue a roman Emporer saw a sun dog, as did his men, the night before the battle of Milivian Bridge (312 ce). He swore if he won that he would convert the Roman Empire to Christianity. He won the battle and converted the Roman empire to Christianity.
