One would think I would be buried with my face in a pillow after opening a letter tonight from the Supreme Court of California stamped DENIED. But...why am I not in shock? Because lawmakers continue to ignore the Americans with Disabilities Act after 35 years. This ruling was not about a discrimination lawsuit. I'd had wrong side and type of surgery, left with a disfigured and dysfunctional nose, ghosted by the surgeon and hospital, and sought justice like any other American citizen.

Educating people about us is a long, hard journey. We haven't posted much while working on our year-long project, but we can't let #retinitispigmentosa month be ignored. Big Role recognizes all disabilities that mean people judge you by your accessible or appearance. #RP #blindsky
Among lots of things, February is also #retinitispigmentosa awareness month. This is what I see, vs what you see. Only 18% of people with a white cane are in total darkness. A lot of us can make eye contact, and "you don't look blind" can get you punched. #blindsky #dei
