Exactly how the opposition works in a parliamentary system. You make those proposals and the next election is a referendum on them- if Dems don’t fuck this up, we could go into 2026 with a REAL mandate and pre-written policy to back it up.

I don't think age has anything to do with it. Beyond a minimum of 25 where your brain's fully cooked (maybe 35 by 2029 so they could legally be in the line of succession if they were to be named to the actual cabinet) and a maximum of 65-70 for obvious reasons, we should be letting anyone jump in.
