19 hours in Seattle so daughter and her friend could see Tate McRae.

The moms enjoyed some hot therapy in the pool and I finally got to walk the Howe Street stairs, 5th longest in America at 388 steps.

4 years ago, May Street Elementary started to offer 🚲 education in PE class.

They were a pilot school in 2021 when I won a $20k safety grant from ODOT and along with the bike train, it showed the need for a Safe Routes to School program for all 9 schools in Hood River County School District.

26 bikes in 16 years!

So many bikes, adventures and riding styles - all have made her into an awesome human.

Unlike most teens, she has no plans to get a license. We sarcastically celebrated that she is now legal to ride an E-bike in Oregon.

Cyclocross season is here 🖤

This was my first Trophy Cup race ever and it was so much fun. I registered for the series and sadly haven't made it back because my job is long hours these days.

Laika's new Wildwood film is such an inspiration for me.

For each of the 6 Walk & Roll events this year, I wanted an inspiring poster so I commissioned a local artist.

We ran out of time for the 1st event, International Walk & Roll Day so I turned to AI for the image and love how this turned out.

We have those but to fill air in a fleet of 30-40 bikes is tedious.

Took me 20 minutes to fill schrader fleet and > 1 hour on presta fleet.

PSA to kids' bike makers

PLEASE use schrader tubes on your bikes. Rural, low income communities don't have:

A. bike pumps
B. bike shops
C. If they are lucky, the local gas station has a tire inflator for schrader valves.

I just got workout hnd pumping 30 prestas bc my compressor is for schrader.

Something is in the water after last week's events but I find myself needing a joy force field and psych degree to talk to people right now.

Cats walking their kids to school, dogs on bikes, teaching kinders how to bike and rides with tweenagers is saving me.

1st walk and roll club of the Fall and we had the most beautiful afternoon weather for it.

For this season's club, we have 4 schools and 4 grades represented. This is such a great group of kids!
