Yes, it could be serious for those who are physically or mentally weak (self-aware). We must know the dos & don’ts while we are in the Himalayas. The main thing's not gaining elevation in a short time. If we do, the mountains will teach our body in their own way. Sorry, your dad needed a treatment!

Yes, it took me the whole night to get over it. We reached around 4,500 m when it all started & after an hr of acclimatization, we pushed up to 4,850 m. Coming down, we did a trail run & camped at 4,000 m, the last stretch of human civilization. Once I had spicy foods & hot water, it settled down.

It's the most beautiful mountain in the Khumbu, where trekkers fill the trails & mountaineers climb 3 of the world's highest 8000ers. Nepalese often think twice before going there. I prefer the outskirts of Khumbu, quieter with far less traffic.

Thank you very much, Baba...means a lot to me. This is my golden opportunity to learn painting & I want to make it count. I always wanted to see you painting Himalayas someday. I hope you come here & paint them live. I want to witness every stroke on those rugged, snowy mountains. Have a great day!
