Will NATO pick up the slack when the U.S. deserts Ukraine? America is no longer the beacon of democracy. How long before we leave NATO? Will Trump form an alliance with Russia and completely go full authoritarian? What value do we place on protecting allies and holding the line against dictators?

Recall what happened with the FBI when Nixon politicized it by appointing Patrick Gray director. The rank and file leaked, leaked and leaked up to the assistant director (aka Mark Felt/Deep Throat) level. They destroyed Nixon. Trump is inviting big trouble with Kash Patel.

He would've been off by more than 1.2 million if we'd followed his advice and let the virus spread widely.
Dr Jay Bhattacharya is Trump’s pick for Director of NIH. During COVID he advocated to let the virus spread widely so the US would get to herd immunity faster. His plan would have killed many more Americans. He also thought COVID might only kill 40K people. He was off by 1.2 million.

Trump used 4 years of gaslighting to avoid prosecution, change perception. So typical of Trump tactics. He just waits you out. Frivolous lawsuits, chaos, intimidation, mob tactics, lies, and repetitive slogans. Most rational people eventually get frustrated and walk away. Crazy then rules the day.

It’s pretty sad. It’s not just that people are now saying they were misled and voted for Trump. It’s that after seeing how much he botched things up during his 4 years as president, they still voted for him anyway.
