My raven buddies are independent three-year-olds now, with their own territory far from where we first met, but they still bless me with the occasional visit. The male came by to say hello today while I was working on my porch. Isn't he just the most handsome bird?! 🙏❤️

Big progress day today - after a week of tedious, slow, fiddly painting on the cupboards, I shifted to windows, doors, and the corner behind the refrigerator. Even with the kitchen in chaos, progress is encouraging. Dzantik'i Heeni, Aaak'w Kwáan, Lingít Aaní.

Got all the corner and lower cupboards and windows scrubbed and cleaned today, masked them all, and got a coat of primer on them. This is how it looked as I started the scrubbing. Dzantik'i Heeni, Aaak'w Kwáan, Lingít Aaní.

Grinding along this week on painting the kitchen. Just finished four coats on the main upper cabinets; this is how it looked two coats ago - color visible, but still not covering the old brown. Dzantik'i Heeni, Aaak'w Kwáan, Lingít Aaní.

I have been looking all summer for a pair of Juneau ravens that adopted me three years ago. I was doing some touch-up painting at home today when they finally found me. A loud thunk, and the male landed and strutted right up, happy to see me. 🙏❤️ Dzantik'i Heeni, Aaak'w Kwáan, Lingít Aaní.
