Green Party Conference recently passed some amazing healthcare policy for the trans community. It commits us to an informed consent model of trans healthcare, a trans-led public inquiry into NHS care, a trans-inclusive ban on conversion therapy, and so much more.

The Green Party just voted to reform trans healthcare.

What does this bold new policy look like?

- Real support for detransitioning people.

I used private hormones from 2019-2021 because I couldn’t wait. But not everyone can afford that. This sucks so much.

I was on NHS hormones by 2021. I’ve just had my lower surgery referral reach the hospital (would’ve been two years earlier but I changed my mind on procedure.)

If I’d have waited even a couple more years to come out I’d be stuck in the centre of this quagmire. I fear for trans youth so much.

I was referred to Leeds in May 2017. I was seen in July 2018. So 1 year and two months.

And I thought THAT was bad.

My god this past decade it’s gone into overdrive. This is manufactured, deliberate and shameful. It’s murder.
