I’m glad you support the 1st and, I guess, even the 2nd Amendm’ts. Why not also the 8th, prohibiting C&U punishment as in denying necessary medical care to inmates? As I recall, you find that one negotiable for political expediency. IMHO, it’s not a good look to cherry pick among fundamental rights.

On the topic of not confronting reality, isn’t a vote in favor of denying transgender inmates gender-affirming care not confronting the reality that gender dysphoria is a real medical condition warranting treatment? Don’t you agree?

It’s unfortunate that only the strong (i.e., universities with large endowments) believe they’re in a position to resist. We ALL need to resist!
