Again, President Trump has told you which journalism outlets to trust. If Trump doesn't like a news organization, you know you can count on that company for accurate, reliable news.

I just heard this "song." I think it's reassuring to know that AI can "write" a song — tune and lyrics — as hackneyed and boring as anything composed by a talentless human being.

ABC's Mary Bruce asked tough, necessary questions at today's news conference with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Trump called ABC "radical left news" and threatened to have the FCC pull licenses of ABC affiliates. Once again, Trump tells you which journalism outlets you can trust.

The murderous Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman — "my good friend," Trump says — is in the White House. Why do I get the feeling the Trump family is about to make a few billion in crypto?

I was a sophomore in HS when Nixon resigned. Watergate was ALREADY a topic in history classes.

Today, Education has been gutted and many state legislatures are whitewashing events and restricting how teachers do their jobs. What will future children learn about this strange era?

We better care.

No president has his image on a coin during his term of office. Or in his lifetime. Monarchs, yes. Presidents? Never.

The administration beat up Harvard and other colleges over antisemitism. But it embraces Jew-hating Nazi sympathizers.

The attacks on universities was never over antisemitism. That was just the ironic cudgel Trump used to attack education.

This little one-lane road is beautiful in the fall. It’s also sweet with an inch of snow. And there’s a creek. A perfect place to grow up if you’re a kid with a Tom Sawyer soul. I know.

White House aide Alexander Butterfield told the world about Nixon's recording system. White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson revealed Trump's insane behavior on Jan. 6. Which current staffer will step up, be a hero and spill the beans?

James Comey and Letitia James are challenging Lindsey Halligan's appointment as interim U.S. attorney. Word is Halligan was handpicked by President Trump. To Trump, her qualifications were obvious.

The next few days are going to be interesting. There will be an avalanche of Epstein information followed by a long parade of officials who have no comment whatsoever. At what point in this story can we expect a U.S. battleship or two to suddenly fire shots at Venezuela?

To my dad, who died in 2021, and to veterans everywhere: a heartfelt thank you.

Go Navy.

For the record, the ACA — often called Obamacare — was NEVER a failure.

About 22 million Americans receive ACA subsidies. That's a lot of people. The GOP has called the ACA a failure since Day 1 in 2021. And they've done everything they could to kill it.

This time, they may have succeeded.

The government has been shutdown for more than 40 days. Congress has been on recess for nearly 60 days. More than enough time for the Department of Justice to scrub Trump references from the Epstein Files.

G'morning Bob, Flame and all the brave, undaunted Foxette Volunteer Infantry. In 1775, Heroes at Lexington and Concord were armed with simple muskets. In 1945, our Heroes marched into Paris carrying carbines. In 2025, a real Hero was armed only with a foot-long salami sandwich. With extra onions.

G'morning Brenda and all the lean and hungry #BreakfastCrew Heroes. Be proud. Stand tall. And hold your sandwich high.

U.S. Solicitor General (and notorious Trump lawyer) D. John Sauer — who, unfortunately, always sounds like the late Sterling Holloway doing Winnie the Pooh — was just tied in logical knots by Justice Gorsuch. Earlier, Justices Sotomayor and Kagan took Sauer to a marble woodshed. Great audio.

The Supreme Court is hearing arguments right now to decide if Trump could legally levy global tariffs without Congress's OK.

If the legality is in doubt, the wisdom of such tariffs was decided ages ago. What happened the last time the U.S. was this reckless with tariffs? Anyone? Anyone?

My computer screen right now. Elections are long nights and lots of pizza in a newsroom — print, broadcast or online. How will the vote go? What will replace that dummy hed? God, I love elections!!

G'morning Bob, Flame and the Foxiest special agents in the resistance business. In a lot of places around the country, today is election day. You know what to do. Make it so.

G'morning Brenda, Jaye and the many indefatigable Bluesky players. In many places around the country, today is election day. You can make a difference. Resistance begins with a ballot.

Good copy editors check spelling and grammar and ask necessary questions. Is this true? Does this make sense?

This item in today's feed would have benefited from a second or third pair of eyes.
