I think you've nailed it. The only thing most Americans really care about is their pocketbook. Thus, Trump's still there. Only when the AI bubble bursts (it is a bubble. It will burst) will he be toppled. Fascism Americans can tolerate. Diminishment of personal spending power is the red line.

The end of NATO is at hand. Once you've declared economic war on your allies (who already know you're unstable), the endgame has begun. The American people are now not just living under fascist rule (you're kidding yourselves if you can't see that). You're on the verge of total isolation as well.
