I noticed a Substack a few minutes ago that said NATO was sending troops to defend Greenland.

Is Denmark actually thinking about selling it? (I haven’t noticed a headline about it.)

Stainless steel can go in the dishwasher. If you watch a video on the Leidenfrost Effect your stainless steel pans will be effectively non-stick. And a good stainless steel pan is forever. If you don’t have a restaurant supply store near you, order Made In online.

I went carbon steel, which has similar care properties. I did the high heat seasoning when I got them. It helped a bit. Honestly, lots of use and putting a thin layer of oil after every use did more for a non-stick coating.

I ❤️carbon steel but stainless steel is the most versatile.

I am happy with the ending. Yes, the ending could have gone many ways. The way it went worked and was believable.

Sadly, I think they do vote and it’s a “go with your gut” vote.

Caught a shoplifter at Walmart. Now we're taking over Walmart. And keeping a large portion of the inventory.

That's your story?

Wouldn’t that possibly lead to permission issues or corrupting another file with the same name but different purpose?

I’m pretty sure that Chef Anthony Bourdain said Mexican and Indian food are the most underrated food going.

Heck, if we simply closed corporate loopholes in our tax system we could pay for universal, single-payer healthcare and solve our social security woes. (Paul Krugman did a talk on it.)

John Oliver had an informative episode on Medicare Advantage a few months ago. It’s all private insurers with United Healthcare being the best known: they’re for-profit.

No thanks. Keep for-profits away from critical social functions.

Agreed. His argument was a Straw Man but I appreciate his point/counterpoint exercise.

Thank you for asking the questions. Articles I read about UHC systems implemented elsewhere indicate that citizens get referrals for specialists. I have no issue doing so.

I’ve seen it for deglazing. It’s a preference.
