Absolutely spot on and in line with our approach to (most?) invasive species in the UK: ignore for years because its not really a problem, then hand wringing once it becomes insuperable while spending just enough on 'eradication' to sustain the species.

Hmm. Met office app said full sun all day at 0800, 0900, 1000, 1100 and there's no sign of any sun at all here in Perthshire. Same yesterday.
Cloud sheet hasn't broken here since Christmas Eve when the sun peeped out just before it set.
