I agree with the sentiment, but I think this article is a bit overblown. Having local servers in a development environment doesn't necessarily mean that they had the full architecture for players to host their own servers.

I think that's the best way to learn 3d modeling. There's this beautiful island with ruins near me where I always find some kind of weird and funky treasures that I photograph and model later. Have learned a lot from that

What. This is absolutely beautiful. I haven't heard of this game before but this deserves all the love it gets and more. Reminds me of dead cells, one of my favorite games so far

For me DOS era was such an interesting time. There's so many cool and interesting games made by just random people possibly from their grandmas basement or school library. I kind of get the same vibe from browsing itchio games
