To be clear, I do think something needs to change with Democrat messaging. More than eliminating contempt for contemptible causes though, I think they just need to embrace new media as much as the right has, and build their own versions of stuff like JRE, Tenet Media, etc.

I see your point. However, to be honest, there's nothing to be done now, and if all the stuff I think is going to happen, happens, and DESPITE that the next election the voting public doesn't run in the other direction, then I do honestly think they have it coming.

Well, if the plurality of American voters made a contemptible choice, then responding with contempt seems reasonable. Maybe the democrats' messaging wasn't ideal, true, but the next four years will message to everyone that the wrong choice was made.
