Love to explore the different stainings in the Human Protein Atlas @proteinatlas.bsky.social 😍
So beatiful cells over there! I strongly recommend you to play with it and find your favourite protein :)

This is the cover proposal I made for our recent paper!

It’s Pyramimonas diskoicola — a very beautiful green flagellate and one of those cells that makes you stop and stare for a while.

I tried to capture its shape, symmetry, and general vibe :)

Antibody question:
If a signal survives siRNA and a KO…
is that finally convincing?
For me it's my favourite validation!

So — what would you trust, and why?

CRISPR KI seems to work very fine, but it's a bit painful and long. But maintainin the expression seems to control quite better the effects of overexpression of the GFP OE...

GFP question:
If the same protein labels plasma membrane, ER and nuclear membrane depending on the construct…
is it versatile — or confused?

Heading to HD! Despite my sleepy face I can promise that Im very excited to join the Seeing is Believing 2025 @events.embl.org If you are interested in centrosomes, centrioles, expansion microscopy or protist, don't be shy and let's have a chat! ☺️🤗 #EMBLSymposium #microscopy

Lately I've been only posting images of really interesting protist here, but something that many don't know is that most of my time i'm expanding 'boring' mammalian cells and that I love human centrioles. Don't tell me that they are not beautiful😍👁️

Yeah. Probably it is the pyreonid, which is localized there in some species, and we are able to see it using NHS. Look this picture and compare it with the EM image.
