My confession is that during undergrad, I did not understand that "housekeeping genes" meant it was consistently expressed since I did not consistently housekeep. Similarly, "going on a fishing expedition" as an insult for a research aim was also confusing because I thought men liked fishing.

I always knew this combo would hit so hard, and the stars aligned today.
