Fieldwork for the Europe-wide project 'MonitAnt' @monitant.bsky.social has been underway, sampling and surveying wood ant nests from the north of Scotland to the south coast of England. This is the biggest ant nest the team encountered - scale provided by Professor Elva Robinson.

(2/3) My project is looking at a novel intracellular LPS sensing pathway independent of the non canonical inflammasome (NCI). My aim is to determine the type of cell death induced by this pathway. I have learnt techniques such as cell culture, western blotting and live imaging microscopy.
