Happy Hanukkah as Australians queue up to give blood to treat the wounded who were injured in yesterday's awful shooting. The right response to terror is for right minded people to rally round and support each other.

It is World Beard Day and Fight Procrastination Day. That’s a bugger, because the one thing I have been putting off is shaving.

I am always grateful. I have been very lucky to have been brought up in a loving home, in a peaceful town, educated for free, worked for the same employer for so many years, had a final salary pension and live in a country where healthcare is free at the point of use.

The main barrier to being smart is not what we do not know.
It is the masses of things we know and mistakenly believe to be relevant.

Polish Prime minister says they need to acquire nuclear weapons. This is the lesson of the 1994 Budapest Memorandum where Russia, USA. UK etc promised to protect Ukraine sovereignty and borders if they gave up their nuclear weapons……

Say what you like about George W Bush, but he wouldn't have stood for Russian aggression in Ukraine.

He'd have invaded Uruguay by now.

This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

A good day for little tasks that need doing as tomorrow a 21-48m asteroid, 2025 BB2, makes it’s closest approach of a mere 291,000 km from the earth, which is about 76% of the distance to the moon. That and it might rain a little bit tomorrow afternoon in the UK.. but water, probably not hot rocks.
