For new preprints with existing Dryad datasets, add the Dryad DOI in the “External Data” field of “Manuscript Basics.” Once posted, the Dryad link will also be accompanied by a green checkmark on the preprint page.

After approving a new submission, go to “Submit bioRxiv Preprint to External Author Service” in the Author Area and select Dryad. Follow the steps to deposit the data on Dryad. The link to the data will appear on the preprint’s “Data/Code” with a green checkmark to indicate Dryad’s curation process.

bioRxiv now partners with @datadryad.bsky.social to facilitate transparent data sharing. Authors can add and connect their preprints to Dryad datasets without leaving the bioRxiv submission system. Once posted, a green checkmark on the preprint page indicates Dryad's curation.
