2/3 They demonstrated this using two categories: "pull" and "throw". First, they trained them by throwing objects and saying “throw” and playing with pulling other objects while saying "pull". It is important to note that the toys did not resemble each other in any way.

1/2 Dogs are capable of forming mental categories of objects, despite not having language or being trained in symbols.

The dogs (mostly border collies) categorized new toys based on their experience with them.

The force required to separate and disperse dandelion seeds can vary by an order of magnitude, depending on the angle at which the wind is blowing. This prevents the seeds from falling near the parent plant. Perhaps that's why you can't blow them all away at once

1/2 Our immune system responds just by being around someone who appears to be sick.

Not only that, but our peripersonal space also expands.

This has been demonstrated using virtual reality, EEG, and analysis of innate lymphoid cells.

2/2 The 4.5 kg of fruit they eat each day contains a lot of alcohol, which could influence their behavior. Also, we know that their metabolism of alcohol is very similar to ours.
