I really enjoyed the Lucanis romance, but I wanted MORE. It needed more substance. I wanna know how he felt when Rook got stuck in the Fade. So here's a little snippet of something I started working on today lol
Lucanis clung desperately to anything he could get his hands on when the magic from the dagger exploded and knocked him off his feet, the hurricane of energy pushing him further away and making it difficult to get back up. He heard some voices yelling out somewhere next to him, though they were hard to hear underneath the sound of the veil starting to literally tear open. Lucanis finally managed to come to a stop, the tips of his gloves slightly worn from digging his fingers into the stone underneath him. He got to his feet but the light was blinding and the force was so powerful, he could barely keep his eyes open. He blinked away the tears now stinging at his eyes, watching as Rook struggled against the current to get over to Ghilan'nain. Come on, Rook! Rook was so close, stumbling just short of Ghilan'nain's body before bracing themselves on it and finally reaching the dagger. They took a hold of it and pulled it out, the veil storm stopping immediately as the dagger left Ghilan'nain's flesh. Lucanis let out a sigh of relief when the pressure lifted. He wiped the tears and dust out of his eyes and looked ahead to see...nothing there? Where was Rook? "Rook?" Lucanis called out as he ran towards Ghilan'nain's body, but there was no sign of Rook nor the dagger anywhere. "Rook?!" Lucanis shouted this time, looking around in a panic before he saw Bellara and Emmrich running towards him. "Where's Rook?! What happened to them?!" "I'm not sure." Emmrich said. "Maybe coming into contact with the dagger transported them into the Fade?" "Well, can we get them out of there?!" "I'm sure we can, I just need to-" A loud cracking sound suddenly errupted from nearby followed by a beam of light spilling out of a tear that appeared a few feet off of the ground. Lucanis felt a twinge of hope for a moment, thinking Rook had gotten themselves out already and he didn't need to worry, only for Solas to emerge from the tear...holding the dagger. "Solas?" Bellara uttered under her breath in disbelief. "Where's Rook?!" Lucanis growled. "What did you do with them, you son of a bitch!" Solas stared over at them all from across the way, not saying a word. He gave a faint smirk before turning away and disappearing from their sight. "Get back here and answer me!" Lucanis yelled, starting after him. "Lucanis, stop!" Davrin grabbed a hold of his arm. "We'll deal with him later, we need to get out of here! Elgar'nan is destroying the island, we need to move before we get destroyed with it!" "But...what about Rook?" "We'll find them, I promise." Emmrich assured. "But we can't do that if we're dead." Lucanis groaned in frustration. He wanted nothing more than to catch Solas and tear him limb from limb, but Davrin was right. If they stayed here it would all be for nothing. Neve and Harding's sacrifice..would all be for nothing. He nodded and they all started to run.

Hey Dragon Age community, I have a question. I just got a gaming desktop bc Veilguard kept crashing on my laptop and became virtually unplayable, but now that I have it on desktop my Rook's hair like...got shorter?? It just doesn't look the same and idk why is it like some kinda render setting? Help
