And then there was a time where bands would drop a non-anthem that long in the middle of a concept album and no one would realize it was that long. www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9v6... 🤔

It is because of you that I finally googled en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crowbar... and now know what people I work with mean when they say that word.

Are you having a meal, or looking for something to throw at a federal agent?

"madness45and47" - which is totally a non-MAGA would pick - thinks political consulting firm SRG Dynamics is "Hakeem Jeffries' team" as opposed to a company that dealt with many candidates, and thinks that the letter they sent asking Epstein to donate to a DSCC/DCCC dinner was Jeffries' idea. 🤪

Governor Morrisey of West Virginia ordered flags to be flown at half-staff in that state. (Governors have the authority to do that within their states; Morrisey had ordered flags flown at half-staff for a week earlier in November in honor of Steve Lipscomb's actions at the Rolling Thunder Mine.)

It's probably to late to stave off or even much delay getting to 69999 and having to switch to alpha-5 or whatever. Unless they were to start reusing catalog numbers... sacrilege, I know. 😉

Aka 38077 to some of us at other points on the spectrum... also, HST not UTC?

As Gerard Kuiper realized in the early 1960s about entirely different things, the view is better from Maunakea. 😜

I dunno, @alyankovic.bsky.social, this really sounds like a problem only you would have. 🤔 😉

Before 1997, direct-to-consumer TV ads for pharmaceuticals weren't allowed in the US. They're still not allowed in most countries.

Given the sentence structure, I would expect him P78 to be an expert on Dagobah and the Force.

Ann, given that Congress's Thanksgiving recess starts no later than Monday, isn't a pocket veto a very real probability here?

Confused, I thought his name was John James Audubon.
(Daniel Webster was a great dude too; I think he was the one who made fun of my family's nose.

We're a year past peak now, right? The last two maxima, I was nocturnal and looking at everything out there BUT the sun, so I don't know either!

@mattotaiyo.bsky.social already hinted at it, but I believe the X-class event in May of 2024 did result in a pinkish glow to the north (which is to say, away from the volcano!) from the Maunakea summit.

I had to google some acronyms there - I've been involved with many things, but ILRS isn't one of them. 😂 I mostly speak 2-line element sets. Yeah, sounds like something got gummed up. I don't know who makes HTS CPFs.

Ah, SIC codes. I know NORAD numbers. AFAIK, people in the pipeline from taking observations to publishing the catalog are still working despite the shutdown, though I'm not sure about contractors, or the Space-Track folks at Aerospace in California. 🤔

ILRS? Is it mostly the LEO ones? Can you still do GEOs and MEOs with corner cubes, and maybe LAGEOS 1/2?

I took the kids to grandma's for Columbus Day, while my wife stayed home. I'll let you guess what we returned to. 🙄🎄

The usual threshold for "Classic Rock" is a minimum of 20 years old, 30 being even better. 30 years ago, we already had the earliest releases from Foo Fighters, Korn, Nickelback, Papa Roach, Rammstein, Sevendust, Staind, and System of a Down. Man, "Classic Rock" just keeps getting better! 🤘

"That's not a mushroom, it's a badger. Next... also a badger, not a mushroom. And then there's another ten badgers. Wait, this next one IS a mushroom, and so's the one after it! But... another dozen badgers before the next mushrooms? You people are singularly bad at this."
