It’s worse that. Look near schools and you’ll see that many middle school age kids have them as well. They are made to look exactly like motorcycles.

I’m astonished that parents would buy these for kids. They are way too powerful for kids that age.

Hardest half mile I ever did, including spring snow hikes.

The other Mt. St Helens gotcha is the talus field near the bottom. Fun to spring up it in the AM when you’re raring to get to the summit.

Not so fun descending when you’re exhausted. Really easy to have a nasty accident.

Why? This soundly like Clintonism. The free market will just make wealth disparity worse. We need a regulated market, where the costs of the negative externalities is borne by the industry that causes them. We need a wealth tax to stop the Bezos/Musk/Ellisons from owning the country.

Also, maxing out range often means they spec low-profile tires, which are much more likely to be damaged beyond replacement by potholes, punctures or curb strike.

Nothing has convinced me more that there is an enormous AI bubble than this paragraph.

Schiffmann has raised a few million dollars—$1.8 million of which was used to buy the URL "Friend.com"-but only about 1,000 Friend pendants have been activated. By Schiffmann's own admission, the pendant has "plenty of issues," and he does not yet know how to make the business profitable; running the AI model constantly is expensive, but he has no intention of adding a subscription fee.
He did say that he'd like to have Friend pendants in Walmart next year.

The White House has used a whole-of-government approach - including investigations and funding cuts — as a cudgel to try to compel Harvard and other elite colleges to adopt more conservative values, including stricter definitions of gender, deeper government access to student admissions data and more rigorous codes for student conduct.
