Babel I. A city by the sea built like the tower of Babel or the city of Minas Tirith. Unclear from the outside wether or not it's built on a mountain or if it was a huge human construction itself. A beach surrounds the city. All is drawn in ink. Many details are included. By Anne-Sophie Wünsche A city underground in a huge cave, with a waterfall running down the straight wall in the back that culminates in a lit entry to the upper cave. Interesting is that a steady airflow seems to exist to make paragliding and aviation possible. Lights rise from the deep ground as well. Many bridges connect parts of the cave. I'm going through photos of June and here's this really round head moulting female great tit.

female great tit, pretty round, on a branch. her head is featherless. she looks at me. the same female great tit with her head in moult turned around to watch her surroundings. it looks quite absurd as her head seems to be tiny without the feathers, compared to the round fluffy shape of her body below her head.

So...snow is falling, all around me, me is playing, having fun, with mini snowman. ☃️🥰 plus a wren from yesterday's walk.

These were taken within 3 yrs at the same spot:
An Egyptian goose shortly before leaving South. We weren't able to catch it to release it from its scourge.
The cormorant suffered quite a while and was enervated when it finally ripped the hooks off of its beak.
The moorhen was released 2 days later.🪶

Sie saßen dann zu dritt und haben Terz gemacht 😭😖. Hab aufgefüllt... 🫡 die Blaumeischen sind aber die ersten, die wiedergekommen sind. Die kohlis versuchen es gerade wohl anderweitig. Ich war wohl zu langsam.🥲

Mein Fenster ist angekippt und die Kohlmeise ist reingeflattert, schnurstracks zum Vogelfutter - woher weiß die das? - hat mich empört angeguckt, ist zum Fenster, oben drauf und raus. Jetzt sitzt sie mit anderen draußen und verlangt, dass ich das Vogelfutter nachfülle, denn sie weiß bescheid!🤨🥲

Kohlmeise in meinem Zimmer bei den Sonnenblumenkernen. Kohlmeise oben an meinem angekippten Genster drinnen. Sie guckt mich an. Kohlmeise zielsicher beim Sprung vom angekippten Fenster nach draußen. Sie ist null mal gegen das Fenster von innen geflogen.

pues, tgo un pareja de trepadores azules como nuevos vecinos que vienen cada día para desayunar, para tomar su almuerzo o su café y tarta. Visitan la habitación tb. Emplumadines valientes.🥰

Como pacientes tuve palomitas *pun intended*. Lamentablemente murió la mitad.

Se ve muy bien la linea oscura que anda desde el pico y sobre los ojos hasta las alas. La cresta hasta la cola es de color grisazul, el pecho naranja, las mejillas blancas. Trepador azul en mi ventana.

Had a visitor. She sat above my head in a shelf, let me take my phone to record her, flew over to my jackets at the door, through the whole room, landed on my self-made lamp, my bookshelf, my other lamp, my desk, fed on breadcrumbs there, etc. For 4 entire minutes, she checked out my room.🥰

Meine Stimme bekommt jedenfalls das Rebhuhn, das hoffentlich dazu beiträgt, dass Erfurts Frischluftschneise Ostsüdost erhalten bleibt. Ne ganze Schar hat mich dort nämlich mal erschreckt und ich sie gemeldet🫡: #vogeldesJahres2026.

I just read about the sudden death of the so very talented Basque comic artist, illustrator, and character designer Mai Egurza at only 38 yrs.
