I ran around 30 RPG one-shots this year, the majority of which were with players I didn't know and a game I hadn't played before. I wrote up how I structure my one-shots to keep them short and pack in as much fun as possible, regardless of system. Hope it's helpful!

One of the big reasons I started reviewing games was because I tried to find info on a more niche game and found multiple "reviews" that appeared to be a person flipping through the game for the first time. This happened more than once.
Rpgs deserve better than that.

I think if you were to review a board game without first playing it, or you reviewed it after you changed the rules or didn’t follow some of the rules, you would get rightly mocked.

- Write 13 reviews
- Realize that means I need to write one review a day
- Panic
- Do it anyway
Glad I took time off my real job to do this silly pretend one, wouldn't have it any other way!
