#Bahrain #Birds #Waders this weekend have been chasing waders. For most expected species, numbers seem normal; unfortunately, Broad-billed Sandpiper numbers seem much reduced. Could only find an occasional small group rather than the large flocks we are used to.

#Bahrain #Birds The loneliest bird in the Eastern Paleartic (population of one) arrived in the spring of 2024, and amazingly, it is still here. The Black Heron, an African species, is surviving well in the tidal pools at the rear of Sanad Mangrove.
