You joke but there real example here is how void elves suddenly went from gold/purple to some kind of weird silver monochrome deal.

The difference here though is that velves that wear their heritage armour aren't shown in universe as horrible villains so you can still dress as you want even in RP

That's kinda what I'm getting at here, it's not just the jarring mis-match, I also I want to be able to use the outfits and cosmetics I've been using for years without feeling like that explicitly makes you some kind of fel-terrorist in the setting now

I assume it's trying to give belf crest but it's incredible jarring when it's retconning what's been THE belf colours up until just a patch ago

I could forgive the change if it was like a post-sunwell raid thing but pulling a sudden "wearing green is now flagging for a hate group" feels terrible

I can understand why they don't want to keep us snorting fel but can we at least keep the whole reclaiming the pain we suffered as part of our culture thing that we used to be all about?

I mean we're still keeping those roofs painted blood-red, keep the green as a remembrance thing 😭
