Trump threatens 50% tariffs on the EU. Trump also said that he sees the trade negotiations between the US and EU going nowhere. But the EU seems still hopeful with its Trade Commissioner saying the Union is fully engaged, committed to securing a deal that works for both.

Trump wants to end semiconductor subsidies law passed by Biden & GOP aimed at attracting chipmakers to the US. The tarrifs alone will force them to return to the US, he claims. But will they though? Could this make US more 'hostile' in the eyes of chip manufacters?
