Look at this night, it seems hand-painted. In front of everything is Superga, illuminated as if someone had turned on only the hottest bulbs: the dome and the golden columns; the lights outline arches and balconies as if the church were breathing softly. Thirty kilometers away, Monviso appears like a giant of gray-blue rock like the sky. And right towards the summit, there's a thin, ivory-colored crescent moon. It's so bright you can see the entire circle: the dark part is illuminated by that terrestrial reflection called "da Vinci light." The photo is a long, 30-second expanse: the silence is palpable.
