International news has been giving false information about what happened here so always take them with a grain of salt. It's better to look through social media posts from other Indonesians for accurate information.

- Cops and military were given the green light to shoot unarmed civilians, and they cheered at the announcement (x.com/qqqainb/stat...)

- Electricity was cut while the cops opened fire. TikTok Live is also blocked to hide the truth about what's happening in Indonesia. (x.com/jwekwevoo/st...)

Power is being cut off from the CCTVs where the labor protest is happening, and the media is also barred from covering the protest and police violence, so the only proof we have of any of this happening is from civilians' phones and acess to internet. I will be keeping the previous reposts up.

They fucking tear gassed a train station in Jakarta. The brutality & indiscriminate violence today against protesters has been horrific.

They also killed a protester by running them over.

It's especially bad /because/ of the racism from other queer folk for me. They're so confidently ignorant that I don't want to waste my energy, even for honest communication, with them. And that's also why I don't give those details about myself in social media. I'd rather stay safe :(
