[deltarune ch3 spoilers continue] interestingly i think it's a very uncommon (or maybe misspelt?) word for "gloomy", at least enough that searching it found me a japanese player trying to figure out what the original english word "glooby" means. so you're not alone in wondering about the translation

[deltarune ch3 spoilers] you made me curious! apparently they subtitled the VO in that part, and went with something like "a never-gloomy trendyman", so the joke doesn't really seem to carry over (at least as far as i understand)

is it okay if i ask why? (my guess is that "close" could also refer to the unrelated adjective in english if you don't know that 閉める is a verb, but i'm not sure if my dictionary is lacking some important nuance here)

some recent pieces of mine that i like as an intro of sorts :3
my sona (scout), a fox-like critter with a long striped tail, who's always wearing a white slouchy beanie with fake rabbit ears and a collar with a fake white fur ruff. they're holding a cute plush toy grey mouse (maffi), who has purple ears, longish darker grey hair, white wings, and an SNES controller cord for a tail a little brown-furred kangaroo with purpley-pink fluffy hair is looking sleepy or maybe asleep, sitting with her head resting on her shoulder. she has darker brown markings on her fur, and a purple star-shaped mark on her chest. in the background is a night sky, with stars and stylized constellations drawn into it Mocha (JakJak's sona, a soft grey-furred skunk with a white stripe) is sitting with his knees tucked into his big coral-colored hoodie, holding a similarly-colored mug with a warm drink in it!
