Security Data Nerd at Bitsight. Love me a good latent variable statistical model. Constantly balancing aesthetics vs usefulness in data viz.

Trying to combat cyber FUD.
Are Construction and Manufacturing on the same subplot for comparison? (also to make the grid an even 3x4)?

Really effective/clever viz to not clip the subplots (obv Fed, but also Ed/Health)

2 questions: Is the color denoting + vs - change? Should "Public" be orange?

What sector classifications are these? Ed/Health is an odd combo to me, is Fed a subsector of "public"?

I would go duckdb with either duckplyr or just the regular dbplyr interface.

Consider defining the schema and passing that to duckdb during reading it. Additionally, read it with duckdb and a defined schema, then output to parquet. Then re-use duckdb on the parquet file.

pi-hole has definitely improved things at home for me. Ad blocking is hard on mobile, this eliminate so much garbage.

You joke, but that year Dave Freudenthal, a democrat, won the gubernatorial election in WY by 40 points. Now he was a "Wyoming Democrat" which meant he was basically a republican.

I think we are a long way from anyone left of Cynthia Lummis being elected to statewide office in WY.
