I think the thing that drives Trump most nuts is there are GA GOP leaders that keep him at arms’ length and are still successful. These leaders are still Replacement Theory level racists that despise female autonomy so we shouldn’t celebrate too much, but they do annoy Trump.

Go get ‘em Jon! Also don’t let the caucus accept a handful of magic beans like body cams and training - we need hard restrictions on the ability to operate. Including needing a warrant to grant them access to their crazy battle gear. And absolutely no rights to do their own crowd control.

I should also say that while not all Dems are acting with the needed urgency, many are. The problem in the legislature is the caucus is too small. State AGs and governors have been fighting all year with a variety of tools. But we also see now just how dangerous the Presidency is in the wrong hands.

This whole thing strikes me as Reconstruction in reverse, sending Federal forces to ensure we never try a free and equitable society again. “Deconstruction” if you will.

Congresswoman - if you can get through to your Senate colleagues… ICE is not a neutral immigration police force it is a weapon aimed at blue cities. Funding ICE is like mailing checks to Pinkertons while they are beating the shit out of labor organizers. It’s suicide for the Party.

Feeling generous, I could say they worry about same effect as after George Floyd. A lot of poll dials turned in favor of social justice only to snap back a few months later as the baseline soft racism crept back in. Of course, you could use ads to remind people at election time of this insanity.
