I had a good feeling about this album from the first time I heard The Fate of Ophelia and I actually did something I didn’t do with TTPD: Listened to it a second time on the day of release.

I had that exact reaction… to Tortured Poets Department. I just did not vibe with it. (Sort of like how I admittedly didn’t vibe with Madonna’s Ray of Light until maybe the third listen)
