Here's another catch. $3/meal = $9/day = $63/week. For a family of four, that's $252/week, or $13,104/year. On a federal minimum wage job, still $7.25/hour, that's most of your year's pay, and somehow you're still supposed to pay rent. And it's a little more complicated than that.
