Dear Democrat leadership: Can someone PLEASE get figures on what was spent on having these folks away from productive jobs and being housed, etc at additional taxpayer expense? Use it in campaigning. I heard someone on a focus group who did not know these people have jobs! Educate! Communicate!

Investors are taxed on dividends. Also on gains if stocks are sold. Also taxed on capital gains on mutual funds even though the holder has no control over what is traded. We can agree to disagree, but it's much more complicated than stated.

Apples & oranges. What I have heard discussed in conversations about taxing unrealized assets has to do with stocks, bonds, etc. With the way those roller coaster up & down it does not make sense to tax them until they are realized. Wanna tax 401K /IRA funds before they are realized too?

What is she talking about... "moving Federal funds" to States. It irks me that these people give the impression that "Federal funds" are like profits a company makes that can be distributed. "Federal funds" are taxes paid by the people! These people have no business running government.

Yes, it was. I remember vividly seeing reporting of Mike Pompeo, during the lame duck session, meeting with people to make those negotiations and shackle the US to specific dates. I knew then that he was purposely trying to set up Biden Admin for failure. Need rules to prevent that in the future.
