Found an odd male diving duck west of Kautokeino in Finnmark. A mixture of features suggest it might be a hybrid between Ring-necked Duck and Canvasback, both of which are North American species. A rare hybrid but then also unusual to turn up as vagrant in northern Norway. ebird.org/checklist/S2...

First Spotted Flycatcher of the year trapped on the Calf this morning had a Norwegian ring!! This is only the 2nd Norwegian Spot Fly to be recovered in the UK following one in 1992 on North Ron with only three UK ringed birds from North Ron/Isle of May being recovered in Norway!! #ukbirding

New article on land use efficiency of renewable energy in Norway. Production density (GWh/km2) was highest for small hydropower and low for land-based wind.
