2/2 Hurry Up Tomorrow starts strong with interesting cinematography and a surprisingly strong performance by The Weeknd. However,it quickly bogs down with self-indulgent pacing and an insufficient storyline to carry the running time. In the end, it’s not a film we’d ever want to sit through again.

The latest Final Destination sticks to the formula, a premonition that prevents a disaster and saves lives that death later comes back to claim. Enough twists to keep it interesting, with a better than average plot line, and highly elaborate and gruesome deaths that fans expect from the franchise!

Walking in, we didn’t expect this would be a retro 80s slasher film that was a lot of campy fun! Likable characters, a workable plot and some good special effects kept us engrossed throughout the tight 96 minute running time. Recommended for fans of the classic slasher films of the 80s!

The Thunderbolts are the self-described B-list Avengers, a group of misfit heroes who coalesce into a team to fight new threats. Lots of Marvel fun - good action, good humor throughout and great special effects. Stay for the two additional scenes during the end credits!

The Friend is an unusual film, gentle and rather insightful, involving a woman who has lost a friend and inherits his Great Dane. Interesting exploration of the relationship between the woman and dog and the comfort they provide each other during the grieving process. Will resonate with pet people!

Drop is a tense thriller following a woman on a first date who receives ongoing text drops on her phone, instructing her to kill him. Strong performances by the leads and interesting cinematography elevate the film; we found it to be an exciting 95 minute rollercoaster ride!

He's my daughter's emotional support kitty and takes his job very seriously, rarely leaving her side. He loves long naps, constant touch, and lots of treetos. 😻
