Glad to see you posting here. So many of us abandoned the other platform for a safer place so we missed out on much of your musings.

Some of us may part ways for some time and if that happens then so be it. We can't continue on with a Liberum Veto, we know where that road leads.

I fear you may be right on the first part but regardless we must make the cost of this action high because I think nobody expects this to be his "final demand".

Regardless we reach a point where we Europeans must make a choice. Stand together or hang separately. Integration or subjugation.

This is what he's always done, he represents the very worst of businessmen. Write an agreement, fail to deliver on his end and demand renegotiation of the terms to extract further concessions. Art of the con.

Only way to win is to not play.

Trump is not the only one guilty here, he's been encouraged and enabled by leading political, business and media figures that out of ideology or greed chose to help him drive that knife deep into our back.

Without major political changes those people will continue to undermine and threaten us.

If Ukraine, a country with a near insatiable demand for strike drones reject them then that is a red flag to me. I hope Helsing take the feedback to heart because Europe does not need ineffective weapon systems for a potential future conflict against Russia.

Can't tell if they named red roe after him on purpose as an insult or if it is just the budget version of an appeal to vanity.

A cheap imitation product for a cheap imitation of a leader.

What makes you think they won't send in ICE with military backing to ethnically cleanse the new territories of "illegals". A new trail of tears for the modern America.

There's been so many lines crossed this last year that assuming they would never do that would be naive.

Nothing to misunderstand. No means no but consent is a completely foreign concept to the people currently in power in the US.

When you say Greenland needs protection and sanction allies that step up to provide protection there is no misunderstanding, just a rotten lie being exposed for what it is.

Ultimately this is the test that will convince Europeans that this relationship can still be salvaged. Inaction from the american public will be just as telling as any proclamation from your government.

EU citizen here, I ask for one thing. Start stockpiling, prepare in your communities so that when the time comes you are all ready to go on a general strike for as long as it takes, weeks, maybe even months. A strong signal to Europe that the people of the USA are still on our side.

It is a small force but don't write it off just yet. This is often how it begins, a few officers at first to coordinate and arrange for things like lodging, supply and more that is needed for a larger deployment. Greenland is rough country, sparsely populated so you need to arrange logistics.

Almost 6 million american jobs exist only because of trade with as well as investment from EU private and public sector. Loss of these jobs would double the unemployment rate at a time when the US is ballooning in debt. EU is one of the bigger holders of US bonds so imagine how that would play out.

They think it signals strength, I think it signals desperation. That their stocks of munitions are depleting so they now borrow from their nuclear deterrent.

Whether their nuclear deterrent is more than expensive paperweights these days I leave for someone who actually knows the subject matter.

The first thing the next US administration needs to do is pull the broadcasting license off every single channel that took part in this blatant propaganda. The US needs to get this propagandizing under control or it is just going to go into a death spiral with no chance of recovery.
